Life in advertising has been a journey. My first job was to write radio commercials for the Chicago electrical unions. Over two decades later, I find myself at an in-house agency on the brand side, shaping the ideas that convince people to pursue their passions in life with Garmin products. The ad business can be a chaotic grind. It can also be a symphonic bliss. Ultimately, I feel incredibly blessed to do this for a living. Creativity and storytelling attract customers — customers buy products and services. Espousing this simple approach has become something of a professional cause of mine.
